The “new” classic trail on Emerald Mountain (Howelsen Hill). Lupine Loop, built in 2004, gave riders an alternative to getting to the Quarry via Blackmer Drive. The trail is well thought out and engineered, making for a fun ride up or down, with great views of Mount Werner near the top.
Larry’s ends just below the Quarry giving riders the option to hop on the road or test their skill at riding the technically challenging Loop 6 (aka Little Moab) up. This map follows the road up.

This area, known as Blair Witch, has a number of different trail options. The latest trail, Larry’s Trail, built in the summer of 2007 in memory of local rider Larry Johnson, is accessible from the second right off of Blair Witch. Larry’s serves up some great norrow, winding single track, before crossing back over the road and meeting up with Lupine Loop.
From Lupine Loop, the downhill either leads to the ball fields or the rodeo grounds. Heading down to the ball fields is a quick steep descent while the rodeo grounds takes a less direct winding path down the mountain. This loop can be rode either way. The map shows riding up from the ball fields and down by the rodeo grounds.
