Loop to Highland Park shortcut
A morning stroll. Pretty straight shot from the street up to Sachem’s head, then north along the ridge trail to the top of one of the unofficial shortcut trails.
That trail goes down the west side of the ridge, unblazed and steep. Nice and direct though! It intersects with the trail system just above the Highland Pond parking area.
Having reached that point, I turned back east and went straight back down the mountain to the street.
